Federico Faggin est physicien, ingénieur, inventeur, entrepreneur et auteur. Il a développé la technologie MOS Silicon Gate chez Fairchild et conçu le premier microprocesseur au monde chez Intel. Il a également fondé et dirigé Zilog et Synaptics avant de créer la Fondation Federico et Elvia Faggin, dédiée à l'étude scientifique de la conscience. Il vit à Los Altos Hills, en Californie.
